Salary:  Hourly – Starting $26.00/hour (negotiable based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Primary Activities:

  • Program CNC lathes and mills utilizing GibbsCAM
  • Setup and run of CNC equipment, primarily Mori Seiki machines with Fanuc control
  • Accurately and descriptively document CNC process
  • Collaborate with others in the designing and building of fixtures
  • Accurate inspection of machined components per control plan
  • Correct selection and optimization of cutting tools
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers during process development and continuous improvement initiatives

Reports to:  Director – Manufacturing Engineering

Works Closely With:

  • Manufacturing Engineers
  • Quality Engineers
  • Production Shop Floor

Position Requires:

  • AS in Machining Technology and/or equivalent experience, 3+ years in a programmer/setup machinist role
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, GibbsCAM experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading and their application to machine components
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
