N.E.W. Industries has offered consistent quality, service and value to our customers since 1983. We provide complete parts and assemblies to a diversified group of premier O.E.M’s across the country and internationally. We manufacture complete, finished CNC production machined parts and machined weldments. We work with a wide variety of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and other materials in bar, plate, cast and forged configurations. We also coordinate a full spectrum of secondary operations.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate saw equipment.
- Hook up chains/straps to bar stock to use an overhead crane to unload steel bar stock from trucks and to load the saw.
- Perform measurement checks to make certain that parts are the correct size.
- Remove cut parts from conveyer and load them into a crate.
- Removes burrs, sharp edges and clean parts using buffers, belt sanders and rotary tools.
- Study manufacturing orders with blueprints, manufacturing drawing and tool sheets to verify they are correct and fill out proper paper work when changes are necessary.
- Maintain a clean work area.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand a minimum of 7.5 hours a day.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 40 lbs. Hoists are provided for parts above this.
- Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping.
- Ability to see blueprints, measuring tools and paperwork. Ability to write to complete paperwork.
- Ability to hear machine tooling and equipment.
- Ability to stop over and around bar stock.
**$1,000 Hiring Bonus**
